Do you have the timer running?
Let’s go!
It’s late afternoon, you have a big night ahead but there’s no time for a speed nap and you’re trying to stay away from harsh energy drinks. (You’re a clever cookie.)
Here are my three quick tips you can do in five minutes, with the help of a special ‘pick-me up stash’ in your purse, laptop bag or desk drawer.
Eat a high protein, low sugar snack:
Help your blood sugar along with a snack that will give you sustained energy. I love a handful of raw mixed nuts or a heaped spoonful of good quality, no-added junk organic peanut paste straight from the jar — and eat an apple as you’re heading wherever you need to go. It will give you a quick energy boost and freshen your mouth at the same time. Tick off two pressing needs at once!
Inhale essential oils: these ones will combat both mental and physical fatigue
Put 1-2 drops of any of these essential oils into the palm of your left hand and gently rub clockwise with the flat palm of your right hand. Close your eyes, cup your hands together over your nose and mouth and inhale deeply. (Don’t let your hands come in contact with your eyes. Oils and eyes don’t mix!) Focus on slowly inhaling and exhaling for 30 seconds or so.

Recharge Your Feet
Once you’ve inhaled your oil of choice, slip off your shoes, add another couple of drops to your palms then smooth onto the soles of your feet. This will help revitalise tired tootsies, as well as sending the energising benefits of oil through your system via reflex points on your feet.
Wash your hands, add a smile and you’re good to go with a spring in your step! Nap? Who needs a nap?!
