YOUR ESSENTIAL OIL WORKHORSES from MORNING to NIGHT
The Young Living Everyday Oils Collection is full of extra value. It’s the perfect way to get started with a great cross-section of oils that serve a bunch of purposes. The kit contains 5mL sizes and you can re-order them in 15mL sizes individually to top up your everyday oils stash.
We’ve dedicated previous posts to the ‘Everyday Oils’ (you’ll find the link on the right sidebar any time you want a refresher). So right now, you’ll find a ‘best of’ list of bullet points to show you how easy it is to incorporate them throughout your day to support mood, freshen things up, energise, unwind and apply targeted TLC. The ‘Everyday Oils’ are marked with asterisks and correct at the time of writing. Kit contents could change from time to time depending on seasonal supply.
And please, I urge you to get a trusty reference book on essential oils so you can discover more specific uses that we aren’t able to get into here. It’s a vital investment that helps you get the most from your exquisite top-quality Young Living oils and find the best oil for the job. While you can’t really go wrong in your choices (as long as you always follow guidelines for safe use of authentic essential oils), you’ll optimise your results in a quicker time frame when you find the best horses for courses.
- Rise and shine so cheerfully, you’ll almost be irritating! Consider having two diffusers set up in your bedroom on timers: one ready to go with a ‘wake up’ oil (Lemon Vitality™*, Peppermint Vitality™* or a blend of the two; Young Living En-R-Gee™ blend), and one ready to go with a ‘counting sheep’ oil (lavender*, Young Living Stress Away™* and RutaVaLa™) Or you can simply inhale your oil of choice directly from the bottle, apply to the soles of your feet or put a drop in your hands, smooth palms together and cup over your nose then inhale deeply
- Add a drop of Young Living Lemon Vitality™ or Peppermint Vitality™* to a glass of warm water to waken your system (please note that it’s crucial to only ever add essential oils to food or drink if the label clearly states you can do so)
- Apply Young Living Joy™* blend over your heart and behind your ears as your 100% natural ‘signature fragrance’ – while it has floral notes, it’s enjoyed by men as a personal fragrance, too
- For extra fortification against cold weather, rub Young Living Thieves®* on the soles of your feet before you put on your shoes, run a couple of drops up the centre of your back (dilute first with a carrier oil if needed for skin sensitivity) and head out the door; you can also add a drop of Thieves Vitality™ to a spoonful of honey and down the hatch (again, please only ingest essential oils when the label states you can)
- Diffuse oils throughout the day in your home, study, workspace to energise your thoughts, uplift your mood and help you wind down when the time is right. And depending on your situation and location, remember that you can always inhale from the bottle, put a drop in your palms and cup over your nose, dab a drop on your wrists and inhale or behind your ears (just check the safety precautions in case of possible sensitivity). Our favourites during the day are Young Living Citrus Fresh™, En-R-Gee™, Clarity™ and Joy™*. Frankincense* is deeply comforting around the clock, from not letting things get to you to unwinding at the end of each day. (It’s one of my ‘desert island’ oils.) And lavender* and Young Living Stress Away™* are always great for the evenings
- Keep your hands fresh with lemon/Lemon Vitality™* and Purification™* (rub your fingertips together with a drop) and keep the air in your home likewise by diffusing
- Warm your muscles up and down with Young Living PanAway™* or peppermint/Peppermint Vitality™*. These can be applied neat (undiluted) or dilute with a little pure carrier oil or YL V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex for coverage of larger areas or skin sensitivity
- Wear and tear from unexpected rough and tumble? Lavender*, lemon*, Purification™*, Thieves®* and PanAway™* all have you covered from a variety of angles
