“Dreams, if they’re any good, are always a little bit crazy.” Ray Charles
(Companion oil: Young Living Dream Catcher™)
There’s day dreaming and there are those that come when you’re asleep.
Daydreams tend to still have an element of reality about them. You’re conscious, even if you’re ‘away with the pixies’.
Dreaming when you’re asleep, however, can head into surreal and wacky territory that makes a Baz Luhrmann movie or Dali painting look mundane.
Don’t you love it !
There’s a field day to be had with interpreting dreams.
According to Carl Jung, Swiss psychologist and psychotherapist who founded what is known as analytical psychology, dreams are a way of connecting to your subconscious — a window into a deeper part of you that is concealed from everyday view.
He felt that dreams can offer solutions to problems you’re facing, and on a deeper level, a means of steering the waking self to a state of wholeness.
Interestingly, Jung saw the unconscious as spiritual, rather than instinctual, and eventually split with his mentor Sigmund Freud due to their different beliefs about dreams amongst other things. “Irreconcilable differences,” to put it in relationship terms.
For our dreams to help us, however, we need to capture them before they evaporate when we awaken. Do you get that feeling, too, when you’re in that dozy state before properly waking up and you’re aware you’ve had a douzy of a dream — then it slides through the fingers of your consciousness and slips helplessly into fuzzy quicksand.
And you have a nagging feeling you just lost something valuable.
Young Living Dream Catcher™ is a beautiful blend of authentic essential oils especially formulated to catch those dreams (like the name says) and foster your natural dream state. Writing your dreams down as soon as you wake up is a great idea, too.
To order Young Living Dream Catcher™, please contact me and I’ll give you a hand.
Dream Catcher™ includes the potent essential oils of
- sandalwood (used traditionally to enhance yoga and meditation)
- tangerine (Feel Good in a bottle, but the healthy kind)
- blue tansy (helps overcome upset and promotes a sense of self-control)
Not only does it awaken creative thoughts and encourage dreams, it’s a fabulous tool for visualising, too. So whether your dreams are sleep-induced or daydream-style, it can give you a gee-up with staying on track with the positive things you come up with.
If it stirs up some troublesome dreams — and it might — they could stem from something unsettled in your subconscious. Observe what arises. Continuing to use Dream Catcher™ can help you find the meaning in it. Visualise yourself as free of it. And search our other Feel Good Fridays for specific blends that can help you take action on those feelings being stirred up.
This will also connect you up with The Good Oil Team for our personal support and coaching. We'd love to help you on your journey to vibrant well-being the natural way!

I’m in the middle of a road trip doing some team coaching, so my days at the moment are focused fully on driving. But I’ll be sure to catch up on dreaming each night my head hits the pillow in a new town.
