“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Dr Seuss
(Companion oil: Young Living Joy™)
It’s been pretty chilly here this week, but the magnificent blue skies make it worth shuffling around wearing half your body weight in jumpers.
Does it make you feel alive when you pause to appreciate a glorious, sunny and clear day ?
What you’re feeling can be labelled as ‘joy’. Aaah, if only we could bottle it for those times when you’re feeling a bit blue, or heading towards the full-blown moody blues.
Young Living (our favourite source of oils) hasn’t yet come up with a way to do that — but it does offer Joy in a bottle courtesy of some of the most gorgeous-smelling genuine essential oils available, especially formulated to put a song in your heart when your voice can’t seem to muster one.
To order Young Living Joy™, please contact me and I’ll give you a hand.
The single oils in Joy™ include:
- bergamot (uplifting without overstimulating, and furocoumarin-free for reduced sensitivity to sun exposure after applying)
- ylang ylang (balances Yin and Yang and restores confidence)
- tangerine (inspires ‘feel good’ sunshiny citrus vibes)
- roman chamomile (tackles restlessness and helps release anger from the liver)
- rose (the highest frequency of all known essential oils and magnetic towards love and happiness)
You can inhale Joy™ directly from the bottle, diffuse, or dilute well for a massage that’s good for the spirit as well as the body. How much should you dilute it? Say, one drop added to 15 drops of organic carrier oil like olive, coconut or Young Living V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Complex. No need to be exact – a drop of Joy™ in a splash of carrier oil will be about right.
Another lovely way to use Joy™ is to apply a drop over your heart. Please follow the usual guidelines for safe use. And please click here for our top 9 uses of Joy™.
As well as employing aromatic tactics, here’s a simple and easy trick to try.
Pay attention any time you are feeling joyful, and take note of what it is that’s brought your joy bubbling to the surface. Write it down on your favourite coloured sticky note and put it inside your wardrobe door so you notice it every time you get dressed. Keep doing this until you’ve gathered a collection of things that symbolise joy to you. And when you’re registering low on the Happy Meter, go and look at them. Choose the first thing that leaps out as doable right now — then go do it. You might be surprised at how easily it pops you out of the doldrums.
This will also connect you up with The Good Oil Team for our personal support and coaching. We'd love to help you on your journey to vibrant well-being the natural way!
