“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” Mahatma Gandhi
(Companion essential oil: Young Living Sacred Mountain™)
“Give me strength.”
This short sentence is used for many things.
It’s mumbled under one’s breath when the kids are being fractious. (Often accompanied by an eye roll.)
It’s summoned when lining up for a “friendly” arm wrestle when challenged.
And more often than not, it’s said in times of distress, exhaustion or upset. At those times, it becomes a prayer to one’s spiritual source.
Developing physical strength can certainly help us emotionally. Feeling fit gives reserves of energy that can help with dealing with upsets. And working out oxygenates our brains in the process.
The mental discipline to keep turning up and sticking with your routine is also an important key to building your inner strength.
And it’s vital to take care of our health with clean nutrition and by removing synthetic fragrances from our home.
These physical things go a long way to supporting us during upsets. But we also need to build up our inner strength muscles and here are some ways that can help.
Observe When You Feel Strong
Any time you’re ready to give Superman or Wonder Woman a run for their money, see if you can put your finger on Why. There’s a trait, a resilience, a ‘good vibrations’ thing coming to the fore and if you can determine what triggered it, you can ‘reverse engineer’ it and consciously summon up that feeling when you’re feeling vulnerable.
Tune In to Your Spiritual Source and Gratitude
Meditate, be mindful, be aware of blessings that come across your path. Gratitude alone can be a spiritual source. Regularly give thanks for humble things in your everyday life with a Gratitude Journal. When you need to draw on your inner strength, reading your Gratitude Journal can be comforting and refocus you on what’s important in your life. It can also invoke the awareness that we are more than enough as we are in any given moment.
Be Around Positive People
Genuine positivity puts deposits into your positivity tank. Spend as much time as you can around inspiring, cheerful, ‘Yes, you can!’ people and minimise the time you spend around those who leave you feeling depleted. The better topped up your tank is, the better equipped you’ll be to take a hit to its levels when an emotional challenge comes along.
Remember to Use Your Essential Oils
Including oils in your everyday life is a simple and effective way to keep your inner world tuned regularly. We have oodles of Feel Good Friday posts to help you choose which ones to use when life throws you a variety of curve balls. You can use the Search function on the site to fine tune to a specific challenge. Please let us know if we’re missing something you think would be helpful and we’ll get right onto it. Thanks!
When you’re craving inner strength and feelings of empowerment and protection, one of the most special blends I know for this is Young Living Sacred Mountain™ with its fresh sweet scent that envelopes you in a ‘tree hug’.
It includes the single oils of:
- spruce (encourages a sense of balance and grounding)
- Idaho balsam fir (anchoring)
- cedarwood (high in sesquiterpenes as are frankincense and sandalwood, which are commonly incorporated with meditation and yoga)
Young Living Sacred Mountain™ is excellent for diffusing, and makes a nurturing bubble bath. Add a few drops to a handful of unscented, natural shower gel and let it disperse under the running water as the bath fills. Sacred Mountain™ can also be used as a personal perfume behind the ears. As always, follow the label and guidelines for safe use of essential oils.
This will also connect you up with The Good Oil Team for our personal support and coaching. We'd love to help you on your journey to vibrant well-being the natural way!
