Can you really benefit from essential oils all day long? Every day? Is that excessive?
All great questions and I can guarantee from personal experience: with the tippy top best possible quality of essential oils, it’s not only safe to use them often throughout every day, it’s bound to enhance your quality of life a gazillion-fold. Or tenfold, at least.
Why do I make the point about quality? Again, another great question. Here’s why.
A long, long time ago, before the invention of synthetics and dibble dabbling in laboratories to attempt to replicate natural substances like essential oils, all essential oils were genuinely natural. Mind you, they would still vary in quality. Some enterprises distil or extract oils at higher temperatures and speeds than is optimal for capturing the complete beautiful profile of the ‘lifeblood of the plant’. Rushing the distillation process leaves constituents behind and produces an oil without the delicate balance and complexity needed to have its proper efficacy and benefits. But this is something embraced by some manufacturers who place ‘time is money’ above quality.
Then along came the advent of fillers like propylene glycol (a known irritant) that are sometimes used to increase the volume of an oil. More lavender essential oil is sold than produced so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how.
And here we arrive at the importance of quality when using essential oils. These are highly concentrated and potent substances. And if they include synthetic fillers and potentially harmful additives, including herbicides and pesticides and non-pristine water in the processing, they can’t be beneficial for your health.
So I urge you to thoroughly check the quality and credentials of the brand you’re using, as I’ve done with Young Living. Discover why we love them so much in this short video. When you’re certain you’re getting the real deal and can count on the purity, you can enjoy using your essential oils throughout the day. Be sure to follow guidelines of safe use and as with anything, rotate your choices around from time to time and give yourself say one day off a week from daily routines.
