Put several drops of Young Living Thieves® and authentic patchouli essential oil on cedarwood balls in upturned jar lids inside your piano to help ward off insects.
The oils will evaporate, so please don’t do this process once and hope it will hold things at bay for the same length of time as harsh insect repellents that are laden with suspect ingredients. Those things might last longer but it’s not just the insects at risk by having them around!
This combination is also excellent in wardrobes. Add more essential oils to the cedarwood balls as soon as the scent has faded. If the cedarwood balls are no longer giving off a cedarwood smell, a light file with an emery board should be enough to get them ‘activated’ again. Do this before you top up the oils.

Essential oils are tremendous for warding off a wide variety of insects.
Young Living Thieves® can help deter sneaky silverfish. (How is it you can find a silverfish hole and never see a sign of the silverfish?! Those critters are stealthy.)
And genuine patchouli essential oil (Pogostemon cablin) is handy against moths.
Bonus tip: patchouli is effective against mossies, too ! Not that your piano will be bothered by mosquitoes, but while you’re prepping your cedarwood balls, add 10 drops of patchouli and 20 drops of Young Living Purification™ to a small bottle of Young Living ART® Refreshing Toner (or any good natural skin toner) in a glass spray bottle to make a Two-in-One Mossie Repellent. This spray doubles as Post-Bite Care in case any ‘vampires’ sneak past the repelling process. To apply, spray all exposed areas except your face and neck. To apply in these areas, spray the mixture into your palms and pat lightly onto your face and neck so you don’t accidentally get it in your eyes.
