Put a drop or two of Young Living Purification™ essential oil blend or spritz Thieves® Spray into your sneakers to combat foot odour.
Absorbent insoles work best with this tip, but you can try it with any shoes. Just bear in mind that depending on the insole, it could mark or sit on the surface so tread cautiously. (Don’t send us a bill for your latest pair of Jimmy Choos !)
For glossier insole surfaces, put the Purification™ on a tissue — or spray the tissue with Thieves® Spray — and rub the insides of your shoes with it. (And remember the above caution.)
Smelly feet (aka bromodosis — there’s a handy one for Scrabble players to remember) is typically caused by sweat and sometimes by athlete’s foot, a fungal infection.
- Alternating shoes so they have at least 24 hours to dry out between wears is a great way to circumvent the issue
- And a spritz of Thieves® Spray between your toes after you’ve dried your feet post-shower will give you extra protection if you’re prone to shoes that make everyone’s eyes water. Everyone except your pooch, most likely. What is it about smelly shoes that dogs love so much?!
Essential oils are potent, so please follow directions on the bottle and the usual guidelines for safe use. Thank you!
